Summer in Champoluc

Champoluc is a lovely place to spend a few days during the summer. If you enjoy the alps in the winter then why not try a short summer break? The summer season is relatively short, running from the last week of July to the first week in September and is popular with Italian families, escaping the heat of the south.

There are plenty of outdoor activities available, the most popular being walking. There are many walks clearly marked that allow for all abilities. You can meander through the woods next to the river or trek across the mountains and glaciers with the option of staying overnight in mountain Refugios. Other activities include the following:

• Mountain biking - the ski hire shops hire mountain bikes in the summer
• Horse riding
• White water rafting
• Chilling out in the village enjoying the great food and wine
